OOn August 7, 2024, during the PMNP Stakeholders' Engagement and Awarding of Grants, seven local government units (LGUs) in Catanduanes received a total of Php 12,913,254.44 from the Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) through the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).

The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development recorded a total of 65 cases with six (6) deaths of leptospirosis in the region for the period of January 1, 2024 to August 10, 2024.

OVER P82 MILLION PHILIPPINE MULTISECTORAL NUTRITION PROJECT (PMNP) PERFORMANCE-BASED GRANTS TRANCHE 1 WERE AWARDED TO 30 MUNICIPALITIES IN CAMARINES SUR TO COMBAT ALL FORMS OF MALNUTRITION
The PMNP aims to enhance the importance of nutrition through specific and sensitive nutrition interventions using various platforms of Local Government Units (LGUs). The grant is intended to support various LGUs and a serious investment in improving nutrition outcomes and reinforcing the countryβs commitment to public health.
